FreedomPay and Namastay Partner to Enable Digital Wallets and Lower Costs for Hotels
FreedomPay and Namastay have partnered with Proper Hospitality to integrate payment technology into the Namastay booking platform.
What changed
Correction (October 2026): An earlier version of this story was dated September 8, 2026. FreedomPay and Namastay announced the partnership on June 11, 2026.
Hotels using the Namastay booking platform can now accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other digital wallets directly within the guest booking flow. This integration, built by FreedomPay and Namastay, routes payments through an optimized orchestration layer that aims to reduce manual payment operations and lower processing costs. The solution is available now for properties on the Namastay platform.
Why a business should care
Accepting digital wallets at the point of booking removes friction for guests who prefer tap-to-pay or mobile checkout. For hotel operators, reducing manual payment steps can cut down on administrative overhead and potential errors. The claimed lower processing costs, if realized, would directly improve net revenue per booking.
Who it affects
This change applies specifically to luxury and lifestyle hotels that use the Namastay booking platform. Properties using other booking systems or payment gateways are not impacted.
What to consider doing
If your hotel uses Namastay, request a demo of the FreedomPay integration from your platform vendor and ask for a written breakdown of the claimed processing cost savings versus your current rates.
Uncertainty and risks
The claims about lower costs and improved conversion are marketing assertions without independent verification or specific data. The impact is limited to hotels using the Namastay platform, which may be a niche segment of luxury hotels. No action is required yet for properties not using Namastay. A concrete signal to trigger action would be a published case study from Namastay showing verified cost reductions or conversion lift for existing clients. If such data becomes available, hoteliers should request a side-by-side comparison of their current processing fees against the new integrated rates before committing to the change. Hotels using the Namastay booking platform can now accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other digital wallets directly in the booking flow, with claims of lower processing costs and reduced manual operations.
